Bereavement Box | Keepsake Box | Memory Box

Losing a loved one is always hard. The fact that you are here and reading this means that you are already painfully aware of this and you have our condolences. There are many ways to remember and cherish a loved ones memories and we want to be able to help you do this with our bereavement memory box.

Choose any items with sentimental meaning to you, it could be a bouquet, heirloom, jewellery. clothing, flowers from the funeral or photos and we can encapsulate this in a lovely keepsake box / shadow box that you can hang.

We do specialise in preserving flowers so this is our forte but are always open to ideas and other options. If a box is not right for you then maybe a photo frame using the funeral flowers could be an option.

If you need help - feel free to get in touch and we would be happy to talk you through our options.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Flowers may change colour during the drying process - this can depend on many factors, such as how mature the flowers are, if they've been sprayed with any chemicals and the state in which we receive them.
  • Please keep your bereavement box away from prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and chemicals (perfume, polishes, cleaning sprays, soaps etc). The items can be wiped over with a slightly damp cloth if needed. The items can scratch so keep it away from rough/sharp surfaces.

We advise that you send your items Royal Mail Special Delivery (24 hours preferably) via the post or DPD. We don’t receive Royal Mail delivery on a Saturday at the office, so please be sure to select a Saturday DPD service if you happen to be sending them, please do give us prior warning to ensure we are available on the Saturday. Please also email us the tracking number so we can add it to our system and ensure someone is in on Saturday to receive the package. There a few options in terms of sending us your flowers:

  • Whole Bouquet: Send the whole bouquet as soon as you've had your wedding. This is the easiest option for most people and allows us to select the best flowers for your items. We only save enough flowers for your order, so it’s important you have secure and added all your items before posting your flowers.
  • Portion Bouquet: Sending a portion of the flowers, roughly 1 handful per item. This option is for any other option of letters, hearts, diamonds and cubes.

We don’t advise Myhermes as there have been numerous packages which have been delayed or arrived badly damaged.

You can also Hand Deliver any flowers to our address (this is emailed to you as soon as an order is placed).

----------------

The following guidelines show how to easily post us your flowers:

Step 1: Cut the bottom of the bouquet to allow the flowers to collect some moisture during the travel. For any ribboning which may be wrapped around the base, if you could remove this and include (we could add this into the resin also if you'd like)

Step 2: Collect some kitchen tissue paper, at least a handful of sheets and dampen this to allow for the flowers to collect some water during travelling. Wrap this around the base of the flowers.

Step 3: Wrap kitchen foil tightly around the base of the flowers, to ensure no water escapes and travels through to the bud.

Step 4: Place the base of the flowers in a sandwich bag, close the bag as much as possible.

Step 5: Pop some Kitchen Tissue around the top of the flowers to protect them and ensure of any water escapes the tissue will collect it. Please don't make this too wet, just damp is totally okay for the journey.

Step 6: Add the flowers, ideally upright, but if you can’t do this, don’t panic - in a box with dry packing such as newspaper, tissue paper to cushion the flowers in the box. Enough padding so the flowers don’t move around during transit.

Step 7: Please place “Fragile” on the outer box and post! Add a note in the box including your Order Number & Name so we know the flowers are yours on arrival :)

We only use a high quality grade 100% guaranteed non yellowing resin which will ensure your items won’t fade to a yellow over time. This patented technology is one of the reasons we have decided to work with this manufacturer against all others on the market so we can ensure that we can offer the best to our customers.
We'd suggest to wait 3-6 months to have this delivered back to you. As it takes sometime to dry the flowers and we carefully take apart the bouquet to do this. We always keep all our flowers separate from each client. We will however keep you updated throughout the process and you are more than welcome to contact us on hello@magentaflowers.co.uk if you'd like an update.
Why Choose Us?
Attention to Detail

We ensure we select the appropriate flowers suitable for the items you've chosen. We then carefully begin the drying process before laying them out in your chosen shapes. We love a "fuller" look in our items as we feel it portrays what your original item feels and looks like.

Trust & Communication

We keep you updated throughout the entire process. This includes initial conversations about what you'd like, right down to when we receive your flowers, when we begin work on your items, as well as sending photos of the finished articles. We won't send you an item until you are happy!

High Quality Resin

Almost all Flower Preservation companies & Resin Artists in the United Kingdom use resin which will discolour and “yellow” within 1-2 years as the resin is exposed to natural light. Here at Magenta Flowers we only ever use high quality resin which is 100% guaranteed no to yellow so you can be sure that your items will stay a crystal clear throughout the test of time.
